Control Your Reels Feed with Instagram’s “Your Algorithm”

In December, Instagram launched a new feature called “Your Algorithm” that gives users more control and transparency over the content they see in the Reels feed.
Rather than relying solely on AI decisions, users can now tap an icon in the Reels tab to view a summary of the topics that Instagram’s AI believes match their interests – based on their engagement history – and then add or remove topics to guide future recommendations.
The tool makes suggestions more relevant by aligning recommendations with what users explicitly want to see, and also allows them to share their interest summary on Stories if they choose.
